AN ICON REBORN
The RML Short Wheelbase is a welcome return to pure driving pleasure. Combining beautiful styling and ample performance with engaging handling and modern creature comforts, its unique blend of classic form and contemporary function provides a refreshing and ultra-exclusive alternative to the mainstream. With production limited to just 30 units worldwide and with each car finished to each customer’s precise requirements, the RML Short Wheelbase is a car for the most discerning enthusiast.

When speaking about the RML SWB, Robb Report’s editor-in-chief Paul Croughton said: “This retro-inspired tribute to one of Ferrari’s true classics is a brilliant analog counterpunch against the increasingly tech-assisted drive experience. It’s a bygone era beautifully reimagined.”

WHY FOLLOW THE CROWD?
An enlightened take on the high performance road car, the RML Short Wheelbase majors only on the things that matter. Powered by a glorious front-mounted 485bhp Ferrari V12 and mated to a six-speed manual, open-gated transmission, it will immerse you in a truly magnificent analogue driving experience. The intoxicating character of a period classic without the compromises. The comfort and usability of a modern supercar without the reliance on gratuitous speed. The best of both worlds.

‘…you just know you’re enjoying a really appealing car.
One with a fabulous powertrain, impressive dynamic and structural integrity and, most pleasingly, a low-pressure, high-reward manner of making progress.’
Evo magazine – May, 2022
‘The depth of engineering and the sheer quality of the product are exceptional, and the result is a toy that you would have no hesitation about playing with on any day, and maybe every day.’
Octane magazine – June, 2022

CLASSIC STYLE, MODERN METHODS
What you see are perfect curves and exquisite detailing, but it’s what’s hidden beneath the flawless carbon fibre bodywork and luxuriously appointed interior that separates the RML Short Wheelbase from other recreations and ‘restomods’. This is a bespoke, ultra-low volume project executed to the highest possible standards. The product of a meticulous approach to design, engineering and manufacturing, it draws upon RML’s unrivalled skillset as the one-stop solution for race winners, cutting edge supercars and obsessively crafted Continuations.

‘You can really let the SWB rip. The pedals are well placed for heel-and-toe shifts and the chassis keeps a lovely homogeneous manner during hard cornering: the nose stays reassuringly (but by no means totally) flat and the rear has the stability to take massive openings of the throttle mid-corner.’
Autocar magazine – March, 2022
‘At this stage, the SWB already feels fluid and intuitive. It also feels compact, in width as much as length, and while I’d personally seek a little more heft at the wheel to really ramp up that classic feel, there’s no faulting the response or precision – or the tactility of the classically slim and beautifully trimmed wheel itself.’
Hagerty.co.uk – March, 2022

‘…it cherry picks the best bits of the ‘60s and ‘90s eras and combines them to create a car that successfully revives a driving experience lost in the pursuit of increasingly unusable performance.’
Evo magazine – April, 2023 ‘
…possibly the most entertaining road
car I tested in 2022.’
MotorSport – March, 2023

‘The (Short Wheelbase’s) soundtrack is a delight with the richness and the high-pitched, expensive sounding howl you’d expect from a naturally aspirated V12 on relatively free-flowing pipes… This is the sort of car you’d drive everywhere with the windows down to allow that 12-cylinder melody into the cabin.’
The Intercooler – March, 2022
