Exquisite RML Group collection showcased at British Grand Prix

RML Group showcased an impressive selection of road and race cars at this year’s British Grand Prix (3-5 July), with four stunning models displayed prominently at the British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) Clubhouse.

First on display was the MG-Lola EX257, chassis HU002, owned by Mike Newton. By harnessing the lightweight agility of the LMP675 regulations, RML Group delivered an exceptional vehicle which served as the direct technical foundation for the iconic EX264/5 successors. The car delivered historic back-to-back LMP2 class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2005 and 2006, followed by dominant Le Mans Series championship titles in 2007 and 2010, and more recently achieved consecutive Peter Auto Historic championship titles every year from 2021 to 2025. 

Also showcased was the 2026 Plato Racing Mercedes-AMG A35 Saloon. Developed to compete in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), it serves as a definitive showcase of RML Group's cutting-edge capabilities in advanced Lap Simulation and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and marks a significant milestone as the first time the company has engineered a complete vehicle to full NGTC regulations.

Nothing demonstrates the extensive breadth of RML Group’s in-house capabilities better than the Le Mans-inspired GT Hypercar – a 920bhp, twin-turbo machine engineered to deliver exceptional track performance alongside ultimate road comfort. Representing the pinnacle of RML Group's vehicle design and low-volume production capabilities, the project transferred true endurance racing DNA directly to the road.

Part of a highly exclusive production run of just 39 units, the two customer-commissioned GT Hypercars on display at the BRDC Clubhouse included a unique model specified in a 2+2 configuration, finished in Viridian Green, and a second model finished in Ruby Red to celebrate RML Group's 40th anniversary.
