This week, total engineering solutions provider RML Group will showcase some of its most innovative technologies and world-leading capabilities at DPRTE 2026, the UK’s premier event for defence procurement.
Supported by the Ministry of Defence (MoD), the show will bring together buyers, suppliers and policymakers to help shape the future of the sector. Alongside a vibrant exhibition, the event will feature six Knowledge Transfer Zones, a number of high-level keynote addresses and a series of informative panel discussions.
On Stand 120, RML Group will exhibit its immersion-cooled VarEVolt battery. As the highest power-density battery on the road, superior thermal stability allows for full discharge in just 36 seconds. Capable of delivering 6kW of power per kg, the battery system meets the extreme charge and discharge demands of high-performance hybrid powertrains.
Also on display will be a series of cutting-edge wiring harness solutions. These include a high-density harness designed for space-constrained systems, offering excellent resistance to abrasion in the harsh environmental conditions typically encountered in defence applications. In addition, RML Group will showcase a high-voltage harness assembly (rated up to 1000V), specially engineered to achieve tight tolerances, consistent quality and ensure adherence to demanding safety and performance standards in electrified defence platforms.
Another must-see is RML Group’s unique range of gadgets from 007’s legendary Aston Martin DB5. Developed as part of the James Bond Goldfinger Continuation project, highlights include headlight-concealed machine guns, a rear oil-slick delivery system, triple revolving number plates, an ejector roof panel and a pop-up bullet proof shield.
Oliver Jones, Senior Business Development Manager at RML Group, commented: “DPRTE offers a unique opportunity to showcase our best-in-class engineering innovations and demonstrate their role in advancing UK defence capabilities. From wiring harnesses and specialised PCBs to advanced battery cooling technology, our solutions are all designed to provide superior performance and reliability for multiple defence applications.”
The DPRTE 2026 exhibition will take place at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre between 25-26 March. To register your attendance, visit https://www.dprte.co.uk/book-now/.
